How do I sign up for class?
Create an account and sign up for class – while drop-in’s are welcome, we want to make sure our instructors are best prepared for you to join class.
How do I sign up for a personal training session?
If you’re interested in personal training sessions and/or want to learn more about your personalized assessment process, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the inquiry form on our Personal Training page!
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes early for class, especially if you are new to the studio. Every new student will be required to sign a waiver form before working out – so build in time for paperwork! If you are running late, please call the studio to let us know. If you are running late and we have not heard from you by the start of class, any waitlisted or drop-in clients who are physically present may take your place in class. For safety reasons, we do not allow clients into classes more than 10 minutes after the class start time.
Do you have water available?
We are committed to being green, so we hope you will bring and fill up your reusable water bottle at our complimentary water filling station. Forgot yours? No worries – we also have bottled waters for sale for $1 in the lobby.
Can I store my gym bag?
While we offer shelves in each room for your gym bag and shoes, we recommend bringing the least amount of items possible. BeachFit Baltimore is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Can I use my phone in class?
This is your time to disconnect with your phone and reconnect with your body! Please avoid cell phone chatting and texting during class. Check back in to the digital world after class – don’t forget to tag us in your post-class pic! #teambeachfit
Did my instructor just take a picture of me sweating my face off?
Maybe… We love our BeachFit family and, to be frank, we like to show you off. Our instructors often take photos during class to show what a great time you’re having and how you’re rocking those planks. Be sure to check to see where you’re featured on all our social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook and Twitter with #teambeachfit!
If you’re not interested in getting your photo taken that’s absolutely fine! Just let us know when you first check in or mention it to your instructor.
Can minors take classes?
To be eligible for class you must be 12 years or older – ALL clients under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver in order to take class.
How do I reserve a class?
SIGN UP ONLINE! (Yes, we said this before and we’ll say it again!) We highly recommend that you register for class online to reserve your spot.
If I don’t sign up online, can I still come to class?
Drop-In students are absolutely welcome, but there is a maximum capacity for each of our classes. Signing up confirms that you’ll be included in class.
What happens if I’m running late?
If you registered online and are not present at least 5 minutes before the start of class (or have not contacted us to let us know you’re running late), your reserved spot will be given to the next person on the waiting list. We don’t always have a receptionist, so the instructor may lock the front door after the class has started. Make sure you are prompt, arriving before class, or alerting our team that you are running behind.
How late can I join class?
For the safety of all of our clients, we do not allow clients into classes more than 10 minutes after the class start time. If you arrive after the 10-minute grace period, you will be considered a late cancel and no refund will be provided. While we understand that outside circumstances may occasionally interfere with arriving on time, this policy is in place for your safety. Remember, a proper warm-up is crucial to staying safe and injury free!
Can I cancel class?
We understand life happens and you can’t always make the classes you plan. There is no charge to your account if you cancel your reservation more than 2 hours before your scheduled class. If you cancel after 2 HOURS before your scheduled class, you will charged a cancellation fee of $10 and you will forfeit your class credit and/or will be charged for the class.
How do I cancel class?
Please log into your MindBody account and cancel or reaching out to our staff to assist you. Again, this must be done more than 2 HOURS before class. Please note, you must speak with one of our team members live; voicemail messages left after the close of business for a morning class will not be honored.
Can I cancel a personal training appointment?
Again, we understand life happens. Our team works hard to create and schedule one-on-one and semi-private sessions based on availability, so it’s important to know as soon as possible if plans change. If you cancel your reservation with more than 24 hours before, you’re in the clear. If you cancel within the 24 hour window, you will be charged the full amount of your session.
Will I be charged for cancelling?
Can I freeze my account?
Only unlimited members can freeze their accounts. Memberships can only be frozen a total of 2x per year for a total for maximum of 60 days. So, if you are going away, let our management team know at email@example.com and we will freeze your membership until you get back. A 30-day notice is requested to freeze a membership.
Will I be refunded if class is cancelled?
Things happen on our side too and we truly appreciate your patience if this happens. If one of our classes is cancelled, you will be credited the amount you paid towards a future BeachFit class or purchase.
Do you have a waiting list?
YES! If one of our classes is full, you may be added to the waiting list by purchasing the class.
How will I know if I’m able to join the class from the waitlist?
If a spot is made available any time prior to the day of the class, you will be added automatically to the class and notified by email.
If a spot is made available on the day of the class, you will be notified by email and cell phone to confirm whether you want to be added to the class roster.
Will I be charged if no spots open up or if I’m unable to join the class?
If a spot is not made available, your account will be refunded.
If you no longer want to take the class and you are on the waiting list, you may cancel at any time before the class starts or you will be charged for it.
Do my classes have an expiration date?
All group fitness packages expire 3 months (90 days) after the date of purchase – this includes drop-in classes, 5-class packs, 10-class packs and any special purchased classes packs.
All purchases are non-refundable and non-transferable.
